Château La Pointe Pomerol 2011 is a deep garnet-purple colored wine with a nose of crème de cassis, black plums, and licorice with touches of cedar, pencil lead, and dried herbs. The palate is full-bodied, rich, and opulent with a firm, grainy texture and a long, savory finish. It is a blend of 92% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc, aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, 50% new.
