Ch La Nerthe Os De Avelles, Cndp 2016

Château La Nerthe’s Os de Aveslles is a full-bodied, velvety smooth red wine from the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation in the southern Rhône Valley of France. Made from a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre grapes, this wine is aged for 18 months in a combination of new and used oak barrels. It has a deep garnet color with aromas of ripe blackberries, licorice, and spice. On the palate, it is rich and concentrated, with flavors of dark fruit, roasted coffee, and a hint of minerality. The tannins are firm but well-integrated, giving the wine a long, lingering finish. Serve Os de Aveslles with grilled meats, stews, or hearty cheeses.
