Château La Mondotte 2012 is a powerful and elegant wine from the Saint-Émilion appellation in Bordeaux. It is a blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, and has been aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. The wine has a deep garnet color with aromas of ripe black fruit, spice, and tobacco. On the palate, it is full-bodied and velvety, with flavors of black cherry, plum, and chocolate. The tannins are firm but well-integrated, and the finish is long and lingering. Château La Mondotte 2012 is a superb wine that is drinking well now but will continue to improve with age.
